How Do We Work?

We operate through the usage of a systems thinking approach.

If you have a clear understanding of your business mission and values and where you are heading we can facilitate your planning on how to get there. As a long term partner we will coach you in your personal and organizational success.

Step 1: Assessment

Using key questions we first establish a current status of ‘what is’:

  1. Some critical questions that we address include:
  • Are you experiencing frequent breakdowns in communication or business processes?
  • How do you develop your human resources?
  • What is the state of your accountability management system?
  • How are you organized to create those results?
  • What does the Voice of the Business and the Voice of the Customer tell you?
  • Where are you experiencing the most ‘pain’ in the organisation?
  • What must people do on-the-job to support the business goals?
  • What are your key desired business results vs. current business results?

 

  1. What are your existing Strategic Intents, Strategies, and Tactics?
  • Is this well communicated and are all divisions aligned to achieve these objectives?

 

  1. Are you organized and resourced to achieve these plans?
  • Are you confident that all activities in each division are aligned to achieve your strategic intents?

Step 2: Recommendations

Based on data-driven assessments of your current business situation, we facilitate the evaluation and selection of the best practical solutions to achieve your business objectives.

Step 3: Implementation

Our objective is to equip you and your teams with the competencies to accomplish what needs to be done and to learn to be self-reliant in the process. We coach, mentor and teach you and your teams how to take the necessary steps, with the prerogative being; this is your plan, your implementation, and your successful outcomes.

  • Your managers will be able to build collaborative work teams. Your managers will have the needed recruitment, communication, planning, and problem solving skills to move projects forward. Team meetings will be results oriented and draw on the unique individual strengths of the people on the team.
  • Your managers will use their time effectively. Your managers will understand and implement principles of personal effectiveness using skills of organising, planning, emotional intelligence, and performance management.
  • Your managers will coach team members effectively. Your managers will have the needed coaching skills to effectively coach their direct reports.
  • Your managers will be able to think strategically and create and implement actionable plans. Your managers will have the skills and practical know how of analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation using a systematic process which is customer centric and aligned to business goals.

In conclusion, we will leave your organisation more focused, aligned, and committed to fulfilling your business purpose and satisfying your customers’ needs and expectations.

Example of a Coaching Process

1. Briefing:  An Executive or sponsor will meet with us to set the context for the intervention and specify the organizations’ aspiration for the individual.

  • Goals for the coaching must be specific and measurable and linked to achieving strategic, operational or personal mastery. Goals are preferably linked to the individuals’ formalized Development Action Plan
  • There will be no “hidden” or politically motivated reasons for coaching.  Incumbent must be more than 60% committed to the coaching experience.
  • Should a specific competency be identified as a training need, e.g. Time Management, Delegation, Decision Making, this will NOT be taught in a coaching session. Should a workshop, group or team interaction be identified recommendations will be made for an intervention.

2. Setting up of coaching cycles:  Each cycle consists of 6 coaching sessions.  Each session is held on a weekly basis and is of one hour in duration.

  • Sessions are goal orientated with specific actions and follow-ups to be assessed in next sessions.  Coaching is done on your premises.

3. Feedback and debriefing:  At the end of each 6 week cycle, a debriefing/feedback session is conducted with Executive and sponsor to monitor progress.

  • Content of coaching will remain confidential.  Feedback will focus on change in attitude and behavior and impact on team and colleagues.
